Joining the Society is very easy and can be done over the internet. The first thing you need to do is head to the Leeds University Union website, and register yourself using your student details. If you’re a fresher and don’t yet know your student number, there’s an option to tick on there.

Once you’re registered with the union, log into the website and head over to our page under the “Clubs and Societies” tab (you’ll find us in the “Faith & Culture Groups“). Towards the bottom of the page you can add a membership to your basket, like buying from many online shops.

Then clicking the “My Basket” icon at the top of the screen you can then head to the checkout. If you’re joining other clubs and societies you can add those to your basket before heading to the checkout to save time. Following the simple online prompts, you can then pay for your membership using a credit or debit card. Please note that if you are also paying for other memberships, the amount shown may be different, but joining the Leeds University Japanese Society is still just £4.

And that’s all there is to it. Check your email for your e-receipt, and we’ll be in touch with you real soon. Don’t forget if you have any questions, please email us at luu.japanese@leeds.ac.uk.
